What is Culture?

• Is a social system shaped historically by a group of people with numerous manifestations as traditions, customs, festivities, knowledge, beliefs, and morals.

• Is an exclusively individual practice, with no social manifestations.

What is Identity?

• Is being disconnected from everyone else with no collective features whatsoever.

• It is shaped individually and collectively and throught it we can see ourselves reflected and feel connected to others who are part of our community or social environment and, at the same time, distinguish ourselves as unique and individual beings.

What is Cultural Hybridization?

• Is the existence of the exact same cultural context without any change after the encounter of two different cultural groups.

• Is a sociocultural process in which structures or practices that existed separately combine to generate new structures, objects, and practices

What is Tangible Heritage?

• It refers to the Immaterial Culture. Is an ephemeral cultural expression that cannot be held with our hands. Dances, singing, and music are examples of it.

• It refers to the Material Culture. Monuments, historical buildings, paintings, books, and objects that we can touch with our hands are examples of it.
