Tell me about yourself.

• I'm a graduate in Diploma in Architecture from IKM Sungai Petani. I love to play football and engage in recreational activities during my free time.

• I'm the first of 4 siblings. My father works as a dentist and my mother is a housewife.

What do you know about our company?

• I have no ideas, I just came across the newspaper saying this company is looking for an Interior Designer.

• I have read about your company from a search engine. From there, I know that your company is one of the major construction companies with more than 500 workers.

Why do you apply for this job?

• I'm applying for this job as I feel that I needed to look for a job after being jobless for almost 4 months.

• I'm applying for this job as I am interested in the job scope mentioned in the advertisement and also the working hours that suit me well.

Why are you interested in working with our company?

• I would like to work for this company because of its reputation, the opportunities it offers, and the working conditions which suit me well.

• I would like to work for this company as I heard that this company provides a high salary to its workers, and that is really interesting to me.

What do you consider to be your greatest strength?

• I can work overtime. I don't care about other things. So I can focus only on gaining more for myself, in this case, the salary.

• I work well under pressure. When there is a deadline, I can focus and structure my work well. I remember when I was in semester 3, I had to complete four projects in only one month. I finished all of them ahead of time without asking for an extension.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

• In five years, I’d like to be in a position where I know more about my longer-term career aspirations as a designer. I've also grown my technical skills and learned how to take feedback from clients and incorporate it.

• In five years, I think I need to explore more on the position I'm applying for, as I'm not sure whether this is suitable with me or not.

What are your salary expectations?

• I am open to considering your company's entire compensation package, including equity, bonuses, stock options and other opportunities.

• I am expecting to get a salary above RM2000. This is due to the commitment that I'm attached to right now. I won't accept any lower than that.

What type of work environment do you prefer?

• Having worked in a very casual and laid-back environment, I feel it really suits me. I don't like environments that require me to finish the work ahead of time. This will stress me out.

• I like fast-paced work environments because they make me feel like I’m always learning and growing, but I really thrive when I’m collaborating with team members and helping people reach a collective goal as opposed to competing.

What skills do you have for this job?

• I believe the knowledge and skills gained during my study will help me with the job. I can learn new things if given the opportunities to do so.

Having the ability to use design Apps like Adobe Illustrator and Rivet will enable me to complete the job on time. I'm also a strong communicator, and I excel in resolving problems and teaching others.”
