It was silent reading time. Aiden was reading an exciting book about a wizard. Aiden did not hear the teacher when she said that silent reading time was over.

Andy stood on the front step searching through his pockets. The door was locked, and his mom wouldn't be home for another hour. Andy sighed and sat down on the step to wait.

Shelly and Larry always eat lunch together. Today Shelly took her lunch to a different table. When Larry went to ask her why, Shelly refused to talk to him.
