Texas History - Treaty of Velasco

Article I of the Treaty of Velasco stated that

• Mexico would give up Texas

• The Mexican army would not stop on their way back to Mexico

• Santa Anna agrees not to get revenge on Texas

• Sam Houston would become president of Texas

Article II of the treaty of Velasco stated that

• Mexicans and Texians would stop fighting

• Santa Anna shall be sent to Veracruz

• Texas would be an ally of Mexico

• Santa Anna would not get revenge on Texas
