Which response would get the point for this SAQ prompt?
(C) Explain ONE way in which technological advances affected the expansion of the land-based empires during the period from 1450-1750.
C) One way in which technological advances affected the expansion of land-based empires was through invention of gunpowder and its spread across the Silk Roads causing the rapid expansion of empires and the ending of some historical empires. The invention of gunpowder and its spread across the Silk Roads during the period from 1200-1450 largely saw the effects of expansion during the period from 1450-1750. The Ottomans, Safavids, Mughals, and Qing all used gunpowder to overthrow, conquer and grow in power. The Ottomans used gunpowder to overthrow and expand their empire. They also used it to end a historic empire like the Byzantine empire, which had been around for centuries and was a large piece leftover from Roman Culture. The Safavids used gunpowder to grow and establish their empire and in their wars against the Ottomans. The Mughals used gunpowder to overthrow the Delhi Sultanate during period two and used gunpowder to continue to grow and expand their empire across South Asia. The Qing, also known as the Manchu, used gunpowder to overthrow the Ming empire and establish the last dynasty of China. The invention and spread of gunpowder during period one facilitated the grow and expansion of the gunpowder empires during period two.
c. one way which technological advances affected the expansion of the land based empires because the they were able to expand more because of the gunpowder that they had. Since the had the gunpowder they were able to take over more territory since other regions did not have the same type of technology to defend themselves
One way that technological advances affected the expansion of the land-based empires is through military expansion. As technology advanced, it helped build military in different empires, they became equipped with better weaponry which helped the land-based empires to grow and conquer more land.
(C) A reason in which technological advances affected the expansion of the land-based empires was because these advances made it easier for the empires to control power not only within their kingdom but also during war. One out of many advances these land-based empires made was gunpowder which enabled people like the Mongol and the Ottoman to expand their territory and land so vastly.

Which response would get the point for this SAQ prompt?
(A) Identify ONE economic method that contributed to state building in Afro-Eurasia and the Americas in the period between c. 1200 and c. 1450.
The Aztecs used feudalism and their feudalism was similar to the European which used serfdom. In the Aztec system, the Kings and the lords were at the top, then the knights, then the surfs (peasants). Sometimes the Kings were higher than the Lords, and sometimes the lords were higher than the kings. In serfdom, the ruler was at the top and the peasants were at the bottom. Both were decentralized and used the peasants/surfs for agricultural production.
(A) One of the best economic methods that are used to contribute to state-building was the use of feudalism. By maintaining a period where land is prioritized, they were able to focus more on the state rather than to focus on trade and other affairs.
A. The economic system of Manorialism seen in parts of Europe between 1200c and 1450c allowed for state-building in Europe. Manorialism was a system of self-sufficiency where the needs of small villages were meant. There was no need for outside trade because the serfs farmed the land, in exchange for protection from the nobles and knights. This system not only protected these village states but also made it so they weren't dependent on outside forces.
(A)One economic method that contributed to state-building in both Afro-Eurasia and the Americas would be how the Song dynasty and the Mayans both used Tributes to help their states grow. The Mayans used the tribute system to tax their conquered states to accumulate wealth. The Song Dynasty did a similar thing and also taxed vassal states for the rights to trade and for protection.
