The Painter, The Curator

Ms. Jones is an active Barbadian painter and illustrator who works for the Create Art Gallery. Under their commission, she has innovatively used techniques and design elements for her art pieces, which has garnered her public and international renown.

After 10 years, she has been approached by a senior curator at her job who encourages her to open her own art gallery. The senior curator advises Ms. Jones that she can exhibit the art and use the innovative techniques she created for Create Art Gallery for her new business venture.

Before resigning from the Create Art Gallery, Ms. Jones mentions to a colleague her intentions. Shortly after, she receives a letter from her employers stating that she cannot exhibit art or use the innovative techniques that were commissioned by them outside of her working agreement.
