Judith 13-14

Chapter 13: No work can be successful without prayer, the Lord succeeds Judith’s plan to help and Save His people. We see Judith after she finished her plan, she gave all the glory to God who helped her to save His people. She praised the Lord in the time of the victory and invited all the elders of the city to glorify God with her. Also, we read about Uzziah the leader praising God and praising Judith for risking her life to save them. 

Chapter 14: Judith continues her plan to scare the Assyrians, she strengthens the faith of the people of Israel; God is with them and will crush their enemy under their feet. We see Achior believed in the God of Israel after he saw God’s power with His people. 

All the Assyrians leaders of the army were troubled and scared after they knew that Holofernes lay on the ground dead because of a Hebrew woman: Judith.
