The hotel was conveniently located, but that was the only positive part of our experience. As soon as we checked into our old-fashioned and gloomy room,

The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, too. When I look at some of the positive reviews on this hotel, I 2 (a)   they have been written by friends or relatives of the owners.

We booked this hotel on a friend’s recommendation. Before we got there, I 3 (a)   it would be an ordinary hotel as the rooms were fairly cheap, but the rooms turned out to be so comfortable and luxurious.
