• Telling my students it's time to take a trip to the library!

• Ignoring all directions and when the bell rings moving to the next location

• Staying in place until the "HOLD" is over and I am given directions

  (Business as usual where possible)

A "SECURE" Drill entails ....

• Keeping my classroom door locked, business as usual

• Sending everybody outside with a pencil

• Everybody from outside inside. If I am close to an exterior exit door I will post the BLUE SECURE SIGN.

  Business as usual if inside the building.

  (Portables NO restroom use.)

  Listen for instructions

• Lockdown, lights and hide.

In an EVACUATION drill I need .....

• My students

• Current Roster, Red/Green Sign, Emergency Go Kit, Walkie if I have one

• Red/Green Sign

• A fan - it's gonna be hot out there!

You are stood at the BACK doors on morning duty and a man approaches with no ID. He tries to walk through the door.

What do you do?

• Where are you going? Oh! Ok, straight ahead... first door on the right.

• Welcome to Frost! It's a great day to be a FLYER!

• "Excuse me sir, nobody is allowed in this building without some form of ID.

  I am sorry, you will have to get back in your car and make your way to the front of the building where we can follow correct procedure.

  Alert the front office somebody tried to get in the back doors.
