The purpose of collecting data

• is to analyze the level of mastery of standards.

• to hoard information.

• to say you collect data.

Who should receive small group instruction based on the data?

• only the lowest performing.

• everyone should receive the same instruction and rotate the small groups.

• small groups should be differentiated including the lowest performing students all the way to the ones needing enrichment.

• no small group instruction, only whole group.

Data that should be used to drive instruction...

• can only be formative data.

• can only be summative data.

• should only be formative and summative data.

• can be a combination of formative and summative data, however behavior and engagement such as attendance, trauma, etc should also be considered.
