Week 3 - Canva

This week we learned to create a presentation with the following tool:

• Canva

• Google Slides

• Power Point

• Genially

We learned that the first thing we do when creating a presentation in canva is to choose:

• A video

• A template design

• A font style

• A crown

In order to use a template design in canva we have to click on:

• Elements

• Uploads

• Apply all pages

• Projects

In order to introduce media (videos, images, music, etc) in a presentation in canva you must click on:

• Draw

• Projects

• Design

• Elements

In order to build your presentation you have to drag a desired feature from the:

• Top side of the screen

• Bottom side of the screen

• Right side of the screen

• Left side of the screen

When adding music to your presentation you learned that:

• The music files are very expensive

• Most of the music in canva is free

• If the music that you want is not in canva you can extract the music from a youtube video

• There is no music avialabel in canva

We learned that when you want to extract the music from a youtube video you should:

• Ask the music teacher, Ms. B

• Use the tool YTMP3

• Right click the video in youtube and choose "save music as"

• Contact IT support

We learned that in order to make images and videos look more neat and professional in our presentation is by:

• using specialist's Tracy camera

• using frames

• using Adobe Photoshop

• contacting a professional graphic designer

In order to choose media or features in canva that are related to the content you want to present you must:

• type a key word related to your topic on the search box at the top left side of the menu

• click on the small crown of the media desired

• pay for it

• ask permission from the author first

Some of the features we explored in class when using canva in order to create presentations were:

• adding margins and footnotes

• adding images, music and videos

• recording songs and videos

• exploring color theory and its applications
