What is bullying?

• Accidentally running into someone in the hallway and apologizing

• When one kid, or a group of kids, hurts another kid with unwanted words or actions

• Taking the last dessert at lunch

• When two kids disagree about the music they like

Who is affected by bullying?

• The kid being bullied

• The kid who is doing the bullying

• The kid who sees bullying happen

• All are effected

Is bullying the same as conflict?

• Yes

• No

What should you NOT do if you're being bullied?

• Speak up

• Tell and adult

• Know that you have the right to be safe

• Nothing

When does someone deserve to be bullied?

• When they wear different clothes

• When they say something silly

• When they cry

• NEVER

If you're being bullied, should you tell?

• Yes

Is it possible to be someone who bullies and who gets bullied?

• Yes

How do you recognize someone who bullies?

• Size. The person bullying is bigger than the person being bullied

• Gender. Girls don't bully, only boys do

• Behavior. They do something that hurts or harms another person

• Age. It's always older kids picking on younger kids

When it is okay for someone to bully?

• When you're angry

• If someone is younger than you

• Never

• To fit in

What is one way to NOT change bullying behavior?

• Recognize that there is nothing funny or cool about hurting someone

• Talk about how you are feeling with an adult

• Think through other ways to respond

• You can't, a bully will always be a bully
