History of Alpha Chi Omega

Describe the origin of our name.

• Alpha- the first fraternity at DePauw Chi-and,

  Omega- they wanted to be the last fraternity

• No other fraternities had alpha as first

• Alpha- the first fraternity in the school of music, Chi-and, Omega- founding possibly the last of such fraternity

• Our founders wanted to be Chi Omega but better

Why do we celebrate MacDowell Month?

• To show Alpha Chi Omega's support of diversity, equity, and inclusion

• To show Alpha Chi Omega’s support of the fine arts

• To show the campus how much we love each other

• To show our support for domestic violence awareness
