ORTHO II - Classification of malocclusion

→ It was introduced by Edward H. Angle in 1899.

→ based on mesio-distal relation of the teeth,

dental arches and the jaws.

→ According to him, the maxillary 1st permanent

molar is the key to occlusion and considered

these as fixed anatomical points within jaws.
