How did Jesus fulfill his role of prophet?

• Jesus is God. A prophet speaks God’s words to people, and Jesus taught God’s message while he lived on earth.

• Each time he went to the temple, he read the scrolls of scripture to anyone who would listen.

• He got people to donate a lot of money for the cause.

• He had a mom and a dad who loved him.

Why should we imitate the example of the wise men?

• They traveled a long distance to meet the baby Jesus. That trip provided a lot of exercise, and exercise is good for our health.

• They knew what stars usually shone in the night sky, and when they saw a crazy-bright one they followed it. We should study the stars because stars are cool.

• The wise men decided to go on a random journey. Doing things on a whim is fun!

• They accepted the ultimate authority of Jesus. Even though the wise men had power and riches, when they met Jesus they bowed down and worshiped Him.
