The founding fathers were a group of businessmen and wealthy plantation owners. They brought the first 13 English colonies in America together and they fought for independence from Britain. They wrote and signed documents that are still important to the United States today. By writing the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of rights, the founding fathers gave the power of governing to the citizens of the U.S. and away from the King. The Founding Fathers are seven men known as: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and James Madison.
How did the Founding Fathers contribute to the creation of new communities?
They allowed the people to govern themselves and create a government with a separation of power.
They gave the people money to buy land, build big houses, and ensured all of their family members were free to break the laws.
They fought the Revolutionary War to keep the communities in the colonies as the King of England wanted them to be.
They kept the rules and laws for the new government the same as those from England.
