Pl@ntNet is a citizen science project and an app that helps people identify plants using just their smartphones. It was developed by scientists from four French ​ (a)   organizations. Users who know a lot about plants add photos and information to the database. Then, if someone wants to learn the name of a plant they see, they can download the app, take a photo of the plant, and ​ (b)   their photo to thedatabase. The app will look for other plants in the database that look the same, and listthe results.
