OUR CLASS RULES

When a teacher is speaking to the class, I should:

• Finish off my work

• Sit quietly and pay attention

• Talk loudly to my friends

When I want to ask a question,
I should:

• Ask my question

• Raise my hand and ask my question

• Raise my hand and wait to be called upon

When someone is talking to me, I should:

• Look at them and let them speak

• Talk to someone else

• Run away

When I am in the classroom, I should:

• Keep my hands to myself and participate actively

• Cartwheel across the room 

• Tickle and play my friends

• daydream and ignore the lesson

When I finish using classroom materials, I should:

• Take them home to show my family

• Put the materials back where they belong and clean up any mess
• Leave the materials on the floor

When I’m in the classroom, I should:

• Shout so I can be heard

• Shout to alert the teacher when someone
  is doing the wrong thing

• Use my inside voice

When someone wants to join in when I’m playing, I should:

• Pretend not to hear them and keep playing
• Invite them to join in and play together
• Tell them to go away and not bother me

A good listener is someone who: 

• Raises their hand to ask a question

• Ignores and Interrupts

• Pays attention, shows empathy, and understands the speaker's perspective

When I am working on a group project, I should:

• Contribute my ideas and listen to others

• Ignore my group members and do my own thing

• Work alone

When I need help with my schoolwork, I should:

• Ask my teacher for assistance

• Keep quiet and struggle on my own

• Ask my classmates to do the work for me
