What do you do prior to gowning & gloving?

• Open the gown to locate the sleeve/armholes

• Shake the gown, so you can find a hole

• The circulating nurse will point out where the arm holes are

Do you hold your arms up slightly when you slip your arms into the sleeves?

• No

• You can rest them on the trolley

• Yes

How do you tie the back of the gown?

• You can tie it yourself

• Circulating nurse will tie the gown for you

• You can leave it open

Do you used cuffed hands to open the sterile gloves?

• No you don't need to cuff your hands

• Yes you do need to cuff your hands

• You don't need to cuff your hands

With cuffed right hand, do you remove the left glove from the packet?

• Yes

• No

• Hand doesn't need to be cuffed
