April 24' PLG Expectation Review

Keeping my cell phone away, work email and side conversations to a minimum will help us by...

• Staying focused

• Providing help to others

• explain how technology works

• understanding the PLG routines

When someone around me is talking I can...

• Yell at them

• Be obnoxious

• Discreetly redirect them verbally or non verbally

• Tell a really long story that has nothing to do with what we are talking about

If I need to use the bathroom, take a phone call, text message, I will...

• Sing

• Tell everyone in the room I need to use the bathroom

• Ask for permission

• Excuse myself from the room and take care of the need

When someone says something that I do not agree with I can...

• Make sure your attention is on the speaker. You are not distracted by things around you, i.e. your phone.

• Raise your hand OR wait for a pause in the conversation  and respectfully share a different opinion or viewpoint.  Ask for possible clarification from their viewpoint.

• We will  be comfortable sharing experiences, asking for clarification, and/or asking for help

• We will ask for clarification. Be specific in what part you are struggling with.

If I am having technology issues, I can ...

• Check if it’s plugged in, check with a neighbor, restart and be patient, use references (ie. whiteboard)
