I can fly without wings,

I cry without eyes.

Whenever I go, darkness flies.

What am I?

I am not alive, but I can grow.

I don't have lungs, but I need air.

I don't have a mouth, and I can drown.

I have cities but no houses.

Forests but no trees.

And rivers but no water.

What am I?

I can be long or short,

I can be grown or bought,

I can be painted or left bare,

I am often covered with curly hair.

What am I?

I can be written,

I can be spoken,

I ca be exposed,

I can be broken.

What am I?

I can be cracked, made, told and played.

I can be spread without moving my lips.

What am I?

I'm light as a feather, yet the strongest man can't hold me for much more than a minute.

I can travel around the world while staying in a corner.

What am I?

I'm tall when I'm young, and I'm short when I'm old.

What am I?

I am a box that holds keys without locks, yet they can unlock your soul.
