Entering Procedures

What is the first thing I should do when I enter the choir classroom?

• Place backpack on floor

• Grab my choir folder

• Sit on the risers

• Stand around and talk to my friends

After grabbing my folder, what should I do next?

• Put my backpack on the floor near the wall

• Go get water

• Go and sit on the risers

• talk to my friends

After putting my bag on the floor near a wall, what should I do next?

• head to the risers and get ready to sing

• if I have anything to turn in, I should turn in any homework or due handouts in the proper basket

• Chill and Twiddle my thumbs

• If Mr. Yee said to take out my laptop, I should do that. But if he didn't say to do so, then I should leave it in my bag do what I should be doing.

If I do not put my folder back in the shelf in the right place or if I do not follow entering and exiting procedures, what is my consequence?

• I lose 5 points for the day and I can lose up to 25 points in a week every time I leave my folder out.

• There is no consequence.

• I have to pick up all of the folders when I come into class the next time I come to choir.

Do you think that you can lose procedural points for not getting your folder, not putting your bag where it belongs, not stretching, or not standing when warming up?

• Absolutely you can lose points AND it can become a disciplinary offense! Mr. Yee can be firm and kind.

• No way! Mr. Yee wouldn't take away my points for that. He's way too nice.

If I do not turn in paperwork in the right folder or without a name, what is my consequence?

• I will not get a grade for that assignment.

• If my assignment has a name but it is in the wrong basket, it will be marked as late.

• I will get an A+!

• Nothing will happen.
