WHO PERFORMED DURING THE CEREMONY?

The Paris Olympics started with a big celebration of French culture.

Many people came to see the opening ceremony. Over 300,000 people watched 205 countries’ boats on the Seine River. Lady Gaga and Céline Dion performed at famous landmarks in Paris. Lady Gaga sang ‘Mon Truc En Plumes’ in a Moulin Rouge style, and Céline Dion sang ‘l’Hymne à l’Amour’ from the Eiffel Tower. Even though there was heavy rain and some problems at the beginning, the event was a success.

The ceremony showed Parisian monuments and the French motto: Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. It was a huge event, just like the organizers promised.
