When working on electric circuit, always use

• gloves.

• goggles

• insulated instruments

• good electrical conductors.

Before working on household or commercial electric circuits, always

• disconnect the power.

• pull at the cord of the unit.

• connect it first to the correct supply.

• check the rating of the protective device.

When connecting an electrical instrument into a circuit, make sure that the instrument and its setting are

• strong and robust.

• are printed clearly.

• within the voltage and current range.

• tested according to the manufacturer's manual

Do not use power tools

• that are new

• that are heavy

• with metal parts

• in damp or wet locations

Using a power source with voltage less than the nameplate rating

• will cause a power loss.

• is safe for the operator.

• is harmful to the motor.

• will use less current.

All single pole switches must be wired in the

• earth conductor only.

• phase conductor only

• neutral conductor only

• protective conductor only.

Loose clothing or jewelry should not be worn to prevent them from

• lost.

• torn.

• scratched.

• caught in moving parts.

When you are installing electric cables, the first thing to do is to ensure that

• the floor is insulated

• an RCCB is installed.

• no one is around you.

• the cables are dead.

When connecting an electrical equipment into a circuit, make sure that the equipment setting is within the

• temperature range.

• power and energy range.

• voltage and current range.

• insulation resistance range.

An instrument adjusted to measure a voltage within a 240V range will be ruined if connected to a supply of

• 55V.

• 110V.

• 230V.

• 400V.
