Claim:

The high density of the Dead Sea prevents most forms of life from thriving in it.

What would be good evidence to support this claim?

• The Dead Sea has a salinity of around 30%, which is about 10 times saltier than most other lakes and oceans.

• Density is the mass of a substance per unit volume. In the Dead Sea, the high salt concentration increases the density of the water significantly.
