To Track or Not to Track

The ITC attends a 1st grade reading planning meeting led by the reading specialist where the team is learning about how to access Benchmark data. The ITC adds to the conversation a couple of times and then leaves after 15 minutes.

The ITC attends a 5th grade content planning meeting. During the meeting, the lead asks the ITC for suggestions on using technology with a lesson on matter. The ITC brainstorms with the team, leading to creation of a lesson that the team will use the following week.

The ITC is walking in the hall, and a middle school science teacher approaches the ITC and asks if he can show her how to create an assignment in Synergy. The ITC shows the teacher and then the teacher creates another assignment on their own.

The ITC provides an optional after school PD, as requested by admin, on best practices for creating a Canvas Module to support a unit of study.  Two teachers attended, and it took 45 minutes to deliver the content with time for teachers to begin developing some content for an upcoming unit.

The ITC is asked by the lead of a team of all new teachers to attend a team planning to walk through Canvas set-up. The ITC leads the team through setting up Canvas. At the end of the planning, all teachers on the team have a set-up Canvas page.

The ITC spent two hours planning for a PD that was requested by admin. This PD will take place next week and will be required for all staff.
