Conlang is short for:

From memory (without referring to your notes/ppt), what did you learn from today's class?

Watch the 4 videos (on ppt slide 9), compare them, and say:

What are the differences between a conlang and a natlang (natural language)?

• Conlangs are often designed with specific purposes or simplicity in mind, while natlangs can be more complex and irregular due to historical evolution.

• A natlang typically has no grammar rules, whereas a conlang follows strict linguistic rules, making natlangs harder to master.

• A natlang has no clear point of creation, as it develops gradually through usage and historical changes, while a conlang has a definite creator.
