What is an herbivore?

• an organism that eats only meat

What are carnivores?

• organisms that eat only meat

What do decomposers do?

• They make their own food.

• They eat plants.

• They break down dead organic matter.

Each organism in the chain depends on another organism.  A simple food chain is as follows:

sun-> grass -> rabbit -> wolf

What would happen of all the rabbits were killed?  

• The sun and the grass would all die.

• The wolves would decrease in their numbers.
