Painting Cleanup

When you are done painting for the class, what should you do to clean up?

• Put the brushes in the holder, bristles up, to dry

• Put away the placement and wipe down the table of any paint

• Dump the water out of the water cup and place it upside in the dish rack to dry

• Rinse the brushes until the water runs clear

• Bring the brushes and the water cup to the sink area

When you put the brushes away to dry, how should they be put away?

Why is it important to full rinse the paint of the paint brushes?

• Because I am a good person

• To make sure the next person does not have a dirty brush

• Because it is the right thing to do

• To keep the brushes in good condition

What is a palette used for in painting?

How do you properly wipe down your table?

• Dry wipe with my hands

• Dry wipe with paper towels

• Spray the table down with cleaner and then partially wipe it down with paper towel

Do any of our painting supplies go in the green totes???

• NO!!!

• The only things that go in the totes are pencils, the trashcan, and erasers

• Anything goes in the totes

• Actually, I hate you and I want to ruin all of the things in the classroom including the totes in the center of our tables

How warm or cool should the water you use for cleaning the brushes be?
