Aircraft Operations when the Ground Temperature >35°C

• No leaning of the mixture until in the cruise, or until passing 5000’ AMSL.

• 
  On passing 1000’ AGL on departure, accelerate to the Flight Manual cruise climb speed. If no such speed is specified, add 10-15kts to the best ROC speed.

• 
  Ensure you remain parked into the wind as much as possible to assist with cooling

• 
  When idling on the ground use 1000-1200RPM to increase fuel and airflow to the engine to aid with cooling.

In light to moderate carb icing conditions...

• Carb heat may be permanently required and the mixture safely leaned to allow for optimum de-icing conditions. Once it is believed clear of extreme icing, richen the mixture and set carb heat to cold

• If icing is experienced up to 5 mins after the first application of carb heat , the carb

  heat should be applied for 30 seconds

• If icing is experienced between 5-15 minutes after the first application of carb heat, the carb heat should be applied for 8-12 seconds
