DESCRIPTIONS OF ROOMS

It is a place where you can sit and watch a bit.
Books and lamps sit on a table near,

pictures hang for all to cheer.

I’m full of heat but not of flame,
Where pots and pans are part of the game.
I store your food, both fresh and cold,
And help you bake, fry, or cook your gold.

A mirror reflects your face each day,
And towels hang, not far away.
I have a shower where water pours,
To clean you up and open doors.
What am I, with tiles and steam,
Where you freshen up and start to gleam?

I’m the place you pass through fast,
Between rooms, I’m built to last.
I don’t have chairs or things to sit,
But doors to rooms where you can fit.
I’m narrow, long, and full of light,
Connecting spaces day and night.
Sometimes you hang your coat or hat,
But mostly, I’m where shoes are at.

I’m full of tools for work and thought,
Where plans are made and tasks are sought.
A desk is where you sit and write,
With papers, pens, and screens so bright.
A chair supports you, firm and strong,
While printers hum the whole day long.
Files are stacked in neat display,
And books are kept both night and day.

I’m full of food that’s stored away,
For meals you’ll make another day.
Cans and jars line up in rows,
And snacks are hidden where nobody knows.
Spices and grains are kept in jars,
While flour and sugar sit near the stars.

I’m the space that’s just outside,
Where you can sit and watch the tide.
I greet you first when you come home,
A place to relax or chat and roam.
With chairs to sit and plants to grow,
I’m where the outside breeze can flow.
You step on me before you go in,
And in the mornings, I’m where you begin.
What am I, with steps and a view,
A cozy space between inside and blue?

I’m up high, where dust may hide,
With boxes and things stored inside.
Old treasures and memories are kept,
In quiet corners where spiders have crept.

I’m down low, beneath your feet,
Where storage and darkness often meet.
Old boxes, tools, and things you don’t see,
I’m the space where you might hide a key.
What am I, cold and deep,
A place where shadows like to creep?

I’m a space where clothes are stored,
With shelves and hangers, and shoes galore.
You step inside to find your best,
A hidden place to dress and rest.
