Dogs and cats are two of the most popular pets in the world. Although they both make great companions, they are very different in many ways.

Let's talk about how they behave. Dogs are usually very friendly and like to be around people. They wag their tails when they are happy and love to play fetch or go for walks. Cats, on the other hand, are more independent. They like to spend time alone and often sleep or play by themselves.

Next, dogs and cats look different. Most dogs are bigger than cats, and they come in many different shapes and sizes. Some dogs have short fur, while others have long, fluffy coats. Cats, however, are usually smaller and have sleek fur.

One afternoon, a big storm rolled in. The sky turned dark, and the wind started to blow harder. Because the storm was so strong, the trees began to sway and some branches even broke off. The heavy rain caused puddles to form all over the yard.

As a result of the storm, the power went out in our house. We had to use candles for light, and it became very quiet without the usual sounds of the TV or computer. The rain continued to pour, and we couldn’t go outside to play.

Finally, after a few hours, the storm passed. The sun came out, and the air smelled fresh. Because the storm had cooled things down, it felt much nicer outside. We were happy that the storm was over, but it also reminded us to always be prepared when bad weather comes.
