When finding Surface Area, what are you solving for?

• Tells us the capacity of the figure.  It is a measure of how much a figure can hold and is measured in cubic units.

• The area of such an outer part or uppermost layer.

What is surface area?

• Inside of the object

• the sum of all the areas of all the shapes that cover the surface of the object.

• Something Coach G made up?

• Surface area is what you get when you boil unicorn tears. 

What is surface area?

• The measure of the amount of space inside of a solid figure

• The sum of all the areas of the sides of an object
