As president, Abraham Lincoln helped keep the country together during the Civil War. He believed that all people should be free. Because of his leadership, slavery ended in the United States. Abraham Lincoln is remembered as one of the greatest presidents in American history. Today, you can see his face on the penny and the five-dollar bill.
