• He was short, nervous man.

• He was tall and intellectual.

• He was of average height and rather heavy.

Why did Papa hire Mr. Morrison? (Chapter 2)

• He felt sorry for him.

• He want him to tutor his children.

• He wanted him to build an extra room on the house.

• To help farm the land while Papa was gone.

• He had never went to school.

• He had been fired from his last job for beating up a bunch of white men.

• His wife and children left him and went to New York.

• He used to be a drunkard, but now he had stopped drinking.

How did the congregation feel about the burnings? (Chapter 2)

• They were glad. They thought the people got what they deserved.

• They were upset but felt the law was taking care of things properly.

• THey were angry and made a plan to attack the whites.

• They were digusted and felt that not enough was being done about it.

Why didn't Papa want the children to go to the Wallaces' store? (Chapter 2)

• People went there to drink and carouse. He also doesnt like Wallaces.

• Papa thought that dancing and music were sinful.

• The store was too far from home.

• The Wallaces were a resoected family in the community and he didnt want his children to embarrass him.
