The present continuous is used....

• to describe ongoing or habitual actions or places in the past.

• to describe actions that are happening right now.

• to describe actions that are going to happen in the immediate future.

• to describe actions that are continuously happening or general truths.

• for habitual actions.

The present continuous has two parts:

• SER + GERUNDIO

• ESTAR + GERUNDIO

• SER + INFINITIVE

• ESTAR + INFINITIVE
