• A type of blood cell found in the bloodstream.

• A solution that bathes and surrounds the tissue cells of multicellular animals.

• A hormone produced by the pancreas.

What is the lymphatic system?

• A network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials. It primarily transports lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells.
