Religion Vocabulary

CHARITY

• The Theological Virtue by which we love God above all things and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God.

• A form of financial assistance given to those in need.

• A moral obligation to help others without expecting anything in return.

• A social practice of donating goods and services to the less fortunate.

ORIGINAL SIN

• The first sin of Adam and Eve, bringing pain, suffering, and death into the world.

• A concept that refers to the idea of inherited guilt from ancestors.

• A sin that can be committed only by adults.

• A term used to describe the act of baptism.

CONTRITION

• Sorrow for sins, necessary for forgiveness in the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.

BAPTISM

• The first Sacrament we receive, making us members of the Church, forgiving sins, and giving new life in Christ.

SIN
