What law is this:

Previously the Education of the Handicapped Act (EHA), was originally passed by the U.S. Congress in 1975 as Public Law 94-142. Its purpose was to ensure all children and youth with disabilities in the United States access to a free, appropriate public education (FAPE). Reauthorization of the act occurs every 5 years, and although the last reauthorization (IDEA ’97) expired in 2002, IDEA will continue in its present form until a new Act passes in Congress and is signed by the President.​
