What is a citizen?

• a person who is a member of a community, state, and country

• A person who goes to school

• A person who always does what is right

• A person who is visiting a community, state, or country

When Jibran votes he is being a (good / bad) citizen.

Why is it important that Jibran gets to vote?

• So that everyone can do what Jibran does

• It is not important

• No one will listen

• Jibran will get to share in the decision process and be an active part of his community.

When you treat others the way you want to be treated you are showing (respect / honesty).

How can you be responsible in your community?

Draw a picture of you being a honest and trustworthy citizen.

What is an example of being self-reliant?

• Your mom reminding you to clean your room

• Doing your work before you play

• Your teacher reminding you to do your homework

• Forgetting to do your chores
