Comparing Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages

When comparing fractions, decimals and percentages, we first convert the numbers to decimal form, then stack the decimals on top of each other, and finally:

• compare place values starting at the left

• ignore the digits after the decimal point

• compare digits randomly within the numbers

• focus solely on the whole number part
