Chickens are found worldwide, except Antarctica, with a population exceeding 25 billion. They are more numerous than humans and have been domesticated for 8,000 years. Baby chickens, or chicks, hatch from eggs after 21 days. Hens communicate with their chicks even before they hatch. Chickens have more neck bones than giraffes and possess excellent memories, recognizing over 100 faces. They come in various colors and sizes, with roosters being more colorful. Chickens have full-color vision, dream like humans, and eat a diverse diet. Interestingly, they are the closest living relatives to the T-Rex.
