Where does the comma go in a sentence with dialogue?

• outside the quotation mark

• inside of the quotation marks

• after the speakers name.

What do you do AFTER the quotations marks that start mid sentence?

Choose the sentence that is correctly punctuated. 

• "Would you like a milkshake or a brownie?" asked the man.

• "Would you like a milkshake or a brownie"? asked the man. 

• Would you like a milkshake or a brownie "asked the man".

Because the quote is not a direct quote, you do not have to capitalize the "F" in feeling.
