What is the purpose of the title?

• To tell you what you are about to read.

What are headings?

• Headings are the same as titles.

• Headings organize the text into sections.

What is the author's purpose for bold words?

• To make the text look more interesting.

• To make the text easier to read.

• To point out important words.

What is a glossary?

• A section at the back of the book where you can find important words and their definitions.

• A section at the beginning of the book where you can find the chapters and the page numbers.

What is a sidebar?

• A sidebar is located at the back of the book.

• A sidebar gives information that is connected to the text, but isn't essential to the point of the paragraph.

• A sidebar tells where everything in the text is located, what page number each chapter is on.

What would you use the index for?

• To find the definition of an important word.

• To find the page number of a specific topic you want to read about.
