A venomous cobra leaves its lair, drawn by the scent of hatching crocodile eggs. Upon reaching the nest, it encounters a monitor lizard, another predator. The two size each other up, trying to intimidate by appearing larger. The cobra is ready to strike, causing the monitor to retreat, but not before it has already consumed the eggs. The cobra is left with empty shells, realizing the battle was over before it began.
