Elizabeth Dontia, born in 1925, was the first and only female Prime Minister of the Central African Republic. She grew up on a farm, gained skills from her Catholic school, and became a community leader. By age 20, she was involved in the liberation movement and later led the female wing of the Missan party. She served as a special adviser during the country's independence in 1960. In 1975, she became Prime Minister but was later tried for corruption. In 1993, she was exonerated. Elizabeth passed away in 2005.
