Sony initially planned a Spiderman spinoff featuring Silver Sable and Black Cat, but shifted to developing solo movies for each character. The film, once set for a February 2019 release, was removed from the schedule. Gina Prince-Bythewood, originally set to direct, will remain as a producer. Although shelved, the project might be revived. Sony is also releasing Venom and has plans for other Spiderman universe films, including Morbius, Kraven, Silk, and Night Watch.
