World’s largest wind turbines to power America’s first large-scale offshore wind farm

The Vineyard Wind One project off Massachusetts will use GE's Halliati X turbines, the largest and most powerful offshore wind turbines. Each turbine can generate 312 MW hours daily and stands 853 feet tall. The project will consist of 62 turbines, powering 400,000 homes in New England. An offshore substation will connect the wind farm to the regional power grid via an undersea cable.
