In a grand feast, Set traps his brother Osiris in a coffin and throws it into the Nile. The coffin drifts to Byblos, where a tree grows around it. Isis, Osiris's wife, searches for him and retrieves the coffin, but finds Osiris dead. Set dismembers Osiris's body, scattering it across Egypt. Isis collects the pieces and revives Osiris, but he is incomplete and must rule the underworld. Before leaving, Osiris and Isis conceive a son to continue his legacy.
