U.S. Soldier Killed In Kenya Has Been Identified

Army specialist Henry J Mayfield Jr., aged 23, was killed in a terror attack in Manda Bay, Kenya, on January 5th. The attack was claimed by Al Shabab, an Islamic militant group linked to al Qaeda. The incident is under investigation by US Africa Command. Two DoD contractors were also killed, and two other department members were injured. Mayfield was from Evergreen Park, IL, and served in the 58th Aviation Regiment at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
